As mentioned above overall I was looked after very well when I was in day surgery at Ashford Hospital. However I would like to make a complaint about the nurse (Debby Smith) who took all my details before I had a procedure on my back. I did not understand what she said to me and she asked if I was deaf and when I said I hadn't understood her she accused me of saying it because of her colour. This really upset me as I am not at all racist. Everyone else was wonderful from the doctor, his assistants in the treatment room and the nurses in aftercare.

When it all goes wrong, service recovery goes wrong too. My treatment made me worse and because of the way the NHS works it seems almost impossible to make any progress. Just passed around.

These comments refer specifically to Ashford hospital. Particular praise for receptionist Ella Besr in the RAPID ACCESS CLINIC at Ashford Hospital. She always welcomes us in a calm and reassuring manor with a welcoming smile. Her warm welcome is echoed by many individuals who work in a variety of roles, consultants and porters alike. Patients are treated like invited friends. The ethos in this hospital is noticeably a happy one.

I underwent day surgery at ashford hospital under the care of orthopaedics department. The service and care I received was excellent from the time I arrived at reception until I was given tea and sandwiches.

I attended Rowley Bristow unit today 28th Oct 2016..And was seen on time by a consultant who's name is JP. He was most polite and very caring.JP also explained very clearly details of my injury and what I should do to heal it. Thankyou JP keep up the good work. S.Southern

Appointment slots would be more helpful, sometimes difficult to get hold of on the phone. Otherwise good.
